BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) Here is the story behind Kristy White and what moved her to try and make a difference in the Haiti relief.

White, who just released her first CD, wants her "Song from the Rubble" to be used as part of the effort to restore the people of Haiti.  Her CD is called Dancin On the Wind.  It's a jazzy collection of music including songs of faith, hope and inspiration.

Kristy White is a veteran of musical theatre and concerts throughout Birmingham. Originally from Anniston, she sings music ranging from jazz to gospel to Broadway and her style is described as warm, personal and sincere. Dancin' on the Wind is White's debut album, and features her original songs as well as a collection of her favorite jazz and vocal classics.
